What are we?Bear nation is the name of the Sierra Pacific wrestling team. We train hard, work hard, and work for our success. Bear Nation consists of kids from 1st grade all the way to senior year in high school. The grades 1st-5th practice together as well as the 6th and 7th graders, but graders 8th-senior practice together on separate mats. We don't want to accidentally fall on a 2nd grader, hence the two mats. Sometimes on Thursdays we would have something called a mach night. These are tournament styled days were we practice together at tournament speed. Otherwise known as live wrestling. Occasionally we would have wrestlers from other schools come to this event so we aren't just stuck wrestling our own teammates. We try to learn new moves every day as much as we can but sometimes things can happen. We could be struggling on something or wrestling could have been canceled that day. We also do the 10 second take down warm up which is basically trying to get a specified number of take downs in 10 seconds. We work hard every day that we are at wrestling practice from start to finish with little water brakes. We also are the current High School Champions for 2 years.
